Purpose and objectives of the Journal “Land Reclamation and Water Management”

The international scientific journal “Land Reclamation and Water Management” was established in 1965.

The purpose of the international scientific journal “Land Reclamation and Water Management” is to disseminate the results of fundamental and applied scientific research on technologies and solutions in the fields of hydraulic engineering, irrigation and drainage, agroecology, hydrology, water resources management, agricultural engineering, plant protection, as well as to promote the development of scientific knowledge and the introduction of innovative technologies for the rational use of water and land resources.

The journal facilitates scientific communication between researchers and specialists in the water and agricultural sectors, promotes the integration of Ukrainian science into the international scientific community, and disseminates the latest scientific findings among scientists, teachers, graduate students, and practitioners.

The journal intends to discuss urging issues of soil science, agricultural use and ecology of reclaimed areas, irrigation and drainage, soils’ monitoring, their conceptual breakthroughs, and applied developments that can be used for environmental protection, agricultural production and development of advanced technologies.

Two issues of the journal per year publish original research articles, as well as reviews and other genres linked with the of journal’s profile. The journal welcomes original papers, especially the ones triggering scientific discussions or introducing new ideas, hypotheses and concepts.

Main objectives of the journal
1. Publication of scientific research results in the following areas:
     - land reclamation;
     - water resources and water management;
     - hydraulic engineering and water engineering;
     - agricultural engineering;
     - agronomy, plant protection, and ecology.
2. Providing a platform for scientific communication between Ukrainian and international researchers in the field of sustainable use of water and land resources.
3. Promoting the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of irrigation, drainage, water resources management, and environmentally safe land use.
4. Disseminating the results of doctoral and PhD dissertation research in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
5. Raising the scientific level of specialists in the agricultural and water management sectors through access to modern scientific research.
6. Integration of Ukrainian science into the global scientific space through indexing the journal in scientific databases and developing international cooperation.
7. Promotion of modern scientific approaches to water resources management, land reclamation, and environmentally balanced land use.
